The Gilchrist family loves to read. When Emmie (pictured bottom right) was first diagnosed with T1D at age 4, Amanda asked her school librarian for all the books that had characters with T1D. There weren’t a lot. Now, when Amanda and Emmie meet authors (in person or online), they ask them to put characters with T1D into their next stories.

Dylan Fisher was 27 and training for a marathon in 2019 when a routine physical led to a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. “The diagnosis just felt off,” he said.

TrialNet is excited to announce the launch of our first Phase 1 clinical study to test a new plasmid therapy. The study will enroll 48 adults (age 18-45) diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in the past 4 years.
